Who the Gladiator is for
Gladiator is the most balanced choice in the KONA 2026 series. 3K carbon fibre gives a softer, more forgiving feel than the denser 12K weave used in the K-Doze models — the shot doesn't turn harsh even when the ball misses the exact centre of the racket. At the same time, the core is Soft Black EVA, which is firmer than the Extra Soft core of the Thunder and One White. This gives more direct feedback on contact with the ball and better control over the direction of the shot.
This combination makes the Gladiator a good choice for intermediate and advanced playerswho want precision and a clear feel but don't want the stiffness of a 12K racket. It particularly suits players who rely on placement and control rather than pure power, and who play regularly.
If you're looking for the softest, most arm-friendly feel, a better choice is the Thunder Rose or One White with an Extra Soft core. If you want maximum power transfer and are prepared to accept a stiffer shot, take a look at the K-Doze 12K models.
